Order Exercise

A learning game programmed in Java

Order

Open Order Game

The Ordering Applet is used to present learning exercises or activities. The applet allows the user to put a set of elements into the correct order, from top to bottom.

To use the applet, simply drag the individual elements to the desired location. The elements will slide into new positions to reflect your action. Click Hint to check your progress.

The elements in the set can be graphics, text or a mixture of text and graphics. The real power of the applet is the flexibility it gives the author of the exercise. Without changing the underlying code, the author can use parameters to change the number of elements, their length, font and layout on the screen. The applet automatically calculates the proper margins to make the applet borders the correct size. In fact, nearly every aspect of the applet can be controlled by parameters.
